About the project
Communication barriers are proven to prevent you from accessing appropriate healthcare resources. To address this issue, our aim is to broaden assistance for young patients and their caregivers beyond their current responsibilities. Whether addressing preparedness or other avenues, our goal is to delve into the complex interplay of literacy, culture, and language. Our proposed solution – KIBA, also aims to highlight the importance of their intersection within the urban landscape of Philly. Our focus is to comprehensively investigate the challenges faced by children who belong to multiple disadvantaged groups during their visits to the emergency department.
